My Foundation Shades/Review

Hey guys! So i just thought i would write about foundation shades as i want to try out more foundations but never know what shades are right for me, i have owned less than five foundations i normally buy two of the exact same foundation then when one runs out i still the same one and when that runs out i normally switch brands it seems like i never buy the same foundation more than twice. Another thing is i'm a shade where there is hardly any beauty vloggers the same shade to me which makes it even harder to pick shades when you see a foundation you like, the closest person to my colour that i have found on youtube is 'Beautycrush' so here is a list incase you have a similar skin tone to me here is all of the foundations i have ever used and there shades.

1. Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation -
This foundation is the first foundation i have ever owned which means when i first started to wear make-up this was the foundation i picked, i got it in the shade Natural Beige 400 looking at it now i'm pretty sure it was too dark as i didn't know anything about make-up i pretty much picked up any foundation that looked the same colour to me.
However i still feel like this was a pretty bad foundation as it is very thick so it can make you look cakey which can make your skin look flaky i honestly hated this so much and couldn't wait to finish it. I don't want to warn you off as i used it years ago and i know they have a new updated one that might be completely different but after what i experienced i wouldn't ever buy this product again.

2. L'Oréal Paris True Match Foundation -
I feel this foundation is everyone's holy grail it's so amazing and after my experience of the rimmel foundation i was happy to find something i love. So the first thing is this has more of a range of colours, when buying this i bought two shades one was W3 Golden Beige and the other one Was W5 Golden Sand obviously one was lighter but only slightly you wouldn't even be able to tell and yes by now i learnt you should test your shade and not pick up whatever floats your boat.
This foundation is super light it doesn't feel heavy on the skin it gives you a great coverage it is medium but buildable i doubt you will ever get a full coverage with drugstore foundations, it doesn't sit on the skin which is great if you like touching your face plus this foundation is more on the runny side so no matter how many layers you do it won't go cakey as it is not a thick product and unlike the other foundation i never noticed any flaky bits.

3. Mac Studio Fix Fluid  -
So in 2015 i managed to enter the world of MAC and decided from that point on that i want to convert all my make-up to mac so when i stepped into mac for the first time and brought myself Studio Fix Fluid Foundation, Viva Glam Miley Cyrus Lipstick & Lipgloss. It is at this point that you know you can't guess your shade when spending alot of money on a foundation so i got tested and the shade the make-up artist got for me was NC37.
When i first put this foundation on i was amazed i have always love the full face coverage i feel there's no point putting anything on if your just gunna have a light coverage. Maybe i love this so much as it is quite similar to True Match the thing with MAC is the foundation looks more yellow whereas drugstore foundations are quite light even when there have yellow tones, Studio Fix Fluid does have a unusual smell to it it's quite weird this product is really blendable, i have only used this product a couple of times right now i own this and the maybelline flawless foundation so i use mac for special days and the maybelline for everyday use.

4. Maybelline Dream Flawless Nude Foundation -
So this is the last foundation i have brought and i'm currently using it i did alot of research regarding this product as it was hyped up alot and there is mixed reviews on this. So by this time i have learnt my shade but didn't know what i would be in this foundation so yes i did it again.... I just picked a shade that i thought wold suit me but i was pretty sure it was suit me and i was right it is the perfect shade for me which is Fawn 40.
Honestly i don't really see why this foundation is hyped so much it isn't really all that i don't think i will ever prefer a drugstore foundation more than L'oreal True Match Foundation. Firstly a good thing could be is that it feels like silk on your face it is so soft but it stays on top of your skin it doesn't sink in which is the bad point as i like to touch my face it comes off on your hand and another downside is if you like talking on the phone every time you remove the phone from your ear half your phone is cloudy with foundation. Even though this foundation is runny i noticed it looks flaky around my nose, alot of people hate the applicator i don't mind it as i put it straight on my face i never put foundation on the back of hand whether it is a pump or not. When i purchased this i brought two of these i always seem to buy two but with this product i cannot wait to finish it, so knowing i have to finish another bottle to get rid of it isn't fun. This is another foundation i would only buy once.

Conclusion
It is kind of annoying all these different brands have different shades they should all just stick to one name. True Match & Studio Fix is the only foundations that i have found that i truly love. My shades so far is 400, W5, NC37, 40. So for people new to make-up i understand how confusing it might be to find your shade, so my advice would be take your guardian to your local make-up store to find find your shade do as many swatches as you can on your hand and rub in and see which one look the best.

Favourite Make-Up Brushes & Why

I may not have all the brushes I would like but the ones that I do have work great for me so here's a list of the brushes I love.

My first foundation brush was the paint brush looking one that everyone starts with after that i moved to a buffing brush which I loved i'll never go back to the original foundation brush then I got this brush and fell in love, it takes less time with only a few circular motions to blend your foundation in your skin than having to spend more time trying to buff in your foundation.

So this brush is supposed to be used for blusher but I find it impossible to apply blush with the brush, so instead I use it for bronzer and it works so well I only use this brush for bronzer.

This will seem so backwards to some people as this brush is actually used for powder and I use it for blush.... I've basically swaped around the uses for the Avon Brushes it's big bristles make it easier to apply blush with than if I tried to use the angled brush.

• Double Ended Foundation & Concealer Brush
Even though this is a muti purpose brush i have never actually used the foundation part of the brush but then again I will never go back to using that type of brush so I only use this to put my concealer on.

• I cannot find this anywhere so i don't know what is is called but here's a picture... So this brush is only used for translucent powder.
